So true. We all love Hindi Songs. We connect to them as we understand them. Do we need to know the language to like some songs? My answer was “Yes” until I got to hear some awesome songs in other languages than Hindi / Marathi.

It started with this hip-hop kannada song “Huduga-Huduga”. On one vacation we took along this song in our player ; and the whole bunch of people at home who don’t understand kannada landed up singing this song !!

Then it was the amazing title song of this same movie . here it comes ; I love this song as ringtone as well

There is this song which I can hear in loop for hours. And thanks to Rambler who provided me the meaning of this lyrics. Here it is “Anusuthide Yako” from Mungaru Male .

I loved the tamil version of “Jara Jara”; it is one of the all time favorite. Here it is “Vaseegara” Song .

Then the latest song which keeps on playing on and on is this one. I don’t know the exact lyrics or meaning either. But the song is so soft and so romantic. Can someone send me the lyrics and meaning please ?

I am on “Chrome”

YAY to Google for its launch of new browser ”Chrome” !! It was quick download and installation thing. and I am liking this simple -no complex-no frills look :)

Whether it is as capable as Firefox or IE I have no clue. Other few thing I liked are

“The Drag and Drop” thing for new tab; it is so easy and sensible.
It remebmbers the most visited pages. So everytime I open my Chrome; I need to type my blog url ; I can see it right there.
It is fast and pretty fast compared to IE.
The address bar has integrated google search. So now I might get rid of the Google Toolbar
It imports bookmarks from default browser so I have all of them here !!
You can change the default search engine !!

Few things I have no clue about

If Java applet works in chrome. The game site “Scrabulous” operates using Java Applet and I don’t see it working.
I can not see settings like IE where you can set Java options.
I don’t know if it would be safe to use chrome for banking/financial sites.
For some sites it shows no plugin sign and I have no idea how to go about that .

One of those days

The dough for roti became too loose. Already the dough was more than enough and I landed up adding some more flour. Still the dough did not change its state.
While keeping the cup in sink; I applied some extra force and happened the obvious. Now the count is one down !!
What next now ? what else other than more salt in subji and No Aloo in vicinity ( Remember its “no Aloo” thing going on )
Then the glass escaped from hand and broke. Two of them !!
The jeera powder spilled and spread all over.
While putting waste in thrash ; by mistake I dumped it on floor.

All in a single day !!

Well what to say ..one of those bad days I guess !! Humpf !!

Now I am feeling much better ;)

Being First one is No Fun

Seriously it is no fun; especially when it keeps repeating many of the times. It is always nice to have somebody you could look upon instead of being first, taking the plunge. I wished it all the times; but there was no one and then we took our own decisions.

I was the first person in my home who took admission to engineering. Nobody at home had idea about how does the process goes on. Then it was self discovery and then those admission rounds. Frankly I was not even aware if I should take admission for Electronics or Computers and why. I envy these college going kids these days; they are so well informed.

Then there was the thing that I wanted to move out of my native for job search. No idea about PGs and Hostels. I had no clue then that there was a paper like Admag in existence which can help you to find one. We went to the hostel which was for working women and they asked for copy of appointment letter. Thankfully we finally could manage the things. But now when someone from my family wants to come it is so damn easy for them. We know where to find the PGs; what else one needs to do. Everything is ready there; it does not sound like taking a plunge.

I had a secure government job. but the itch to something was killing me. so finally I decided to give up the job and join the IT sector. People at home were furious. TBH stood by me. But then even if we had brave faces in front of our family; we knew it was a total risk. We had our own doubts. The plan executed with great success. Now I am used as an example for those whom want to make a move from govt job.

Whole world goes to USA and UK but not we. Then we came here of all places in world. No idea about visa, life style here. Internet too has very less information. I give up my job making my folks worry again. Life goes on.

Life is not easy but it is not difficult too. We are evolving. We fall, we learn. It has been learning experience all the time. Don’t know if there was someone to look up to ; life might have taken different track. Anyways no regrets so far. Life has better plans for us ; we just follow them. Then they say “Everything happens for good ” so here we are standing at first place ; proudly !!

Zodiac Bistro

This name had been haunting me for last few days. I was restless unable to recall where/when I have heard /been to this place or where is this place for that matter ?

No clue Absolutely. So finally I asked TBH “When did we been to Zodiac Bistro ? “

He starts laughing and making me more confused.

Finally the ball is out . “Zodiac Bistro” is the name of Restaurant in Sarabhai Vs. Sarabhai !!

I don’t know if it exists in reality ; but I have never been to one !!

I Don’t know If I should be saying this after so much hype and pouring recommendations to watch this movie …

I did not like the movie ROCK ON !! I was totally bored and unconnected ; I kept on searching for the “Awesome” thing in it !!

It kept on trying to resemble DCH and failed to reach that level badly. There are too many things to crib about but I give them a skip.

Yes,I agree to that point raised that if you feel you can not move on something; it is always look back and give a second chance. Life is worth it than brooding over it life long. It is never too late for the things.

Another Experiment

I was not really fan of Maah di Daal / Dal Makhani until I had it at Mast Kalandar in Bangalore. They make the best dal makhani as per me.

After that I tried at many places but no luck. It was not even near. I decided to take the plunge and give a try to it at home.

Then Jay and Bee of JugalBandi came to my rescue. Their recipe for Maa Di Daal works just perfect. ( Not this alone , almost all the recipes work perfectly )

And finally I had my favorite Dal-Makhani ready at my place …Yummy and Mouthwatering !!

During one of those “Chick” talk sessions; the discussion was going on about how well maintained these European women are. Of course then there was comparison with we Indian women.

Finally “R” says

Leave them yaar. Main bhi Aishwarya Rai se kum nahi hoon. Balki wo hi muzase kum hai !!

We were little taken a back,surprised, and all other mixed reactions ( read shocked )

Then “R” says

I mean weight me yaar. Agar Aishwarya jarasi moti ho hajaye to bilkul mere jaisi lagegi !! Nahi ?

No Need to mention ; we were all ROFL.

Makeover of the LeftOver

I am very fussy person when it comes to leftover food. I just can’t eat it. The only leftover food I can use is “Atta/Dough”

Cooking daal for one week; then reheating a portion of it daily; does not work for me. Over the years I have mastered the skill of cooking just enough for two people. But there are times when guests come over; there is leftover food. Then I get tensed over that food; not knowing how to go about it !!

I really have great regards for those who can make an interesting , edible, innovative and fresh dish using those leftovers. The food is fresh and tasty and the leftovers are gone. What else you can ask for ?

I came across Pav-Bhaji Pasta tip by Lekhani. Sounds like an interesting option to me. May be then I should try making Kadhi-Pasta from my leftover portion of Kadhi

Guys be innovative and give me tips for makeover of the leftover. Send me recipes if you can.
