I am very fussy person when it comes to leftover food. I just can’t eat it. The only leftover food I can use is “Atta/Dough” :P

Cooking daal for one week; then reheating a portion of it daily; does not work for me. Over the years I have mastered the skill of cooking just enough for two people. But there are times when guests come over; there is leftover food. Then I get tensed over that food; not knowing how to go  about it !!

I really have great regards for those who can make an interesting , edible, innovative and fresh dish using those leftovers. The food is fresh and tasty and the leftovers are gone. What else you can ask for ?

I came across Pav-Bhaji Pasta tip by Lekhani. Sounds like an interesting option to me. May be then I should try making Kadhi-Pasta from my leftover portion of Kadhi :D

Guys be innovative and give me tips for makeover of the leftover. Send me recipes if you can.

I will be there Soon.. August 22, 2008

Yeah Soon than later.

“Where ? ” You ask.

In that camp of bald people. BALD people ; those who don’t have a thing called Hair on their head !!

If there is a country for bald people I am planning to apply for residence permit over there. You feel good to have similarity around you see !!

“But Women don’t get bald ” You say.

Oh , it is that good old myth. I read somewhere that women too can get bald.

“Why” you ask.

My receding hairline is trying to tell me this bitter truth.

This very morning I found the only ( I want to sound positive ) gray hair.

Every time I take that band out of my hair ; I see it bunch of hair hugging it tightly.

My hair brush is being evil to me ; it attracts my hair like anything. Hence these days there is repulsion between me and my hair brush !!

To make matter further worst; one night I dream of having thick black pleated hair like those lucky South Indian Ladies !! Got up to see me with thinning /falling hair ..how cruel is this ? You tell me now …

Shucks ….this hair fall is gonna give me worry wrinkles too :-(

P.S - Please don’t laugh you people; this is (supposed to be ) a serious post !!  ;)

….its so foggy since morning. I see the city getting lost in the fog. It is summer time here. The city is overflowing with tourists; the hotels are crowded; the beaches are full. The “Gori Mem” is all set to get that golden brown tan , flaunting that sexy bikini. But Fog has decided to play the spoil sport. ;)

Tch ..tch ..tch ..too bad FOG Bhai :D

From Sarabhai Vs. Sarabhai

Maaya : “Murd do tarah ke hote hai; ek Tiger jo ek tigress ke saath khush nahi rehate. Aur Tota jo apni ek hi maina ke saath khush rehate hai “

Sarita to Monisha : “Tera Sahil to bada sidha hai. Tota hai tota woh to !! “

(Monisha feeling bad about her husband being to sidha and called “Tota”. She decides to ask Sahil “

Monisha : “Sahil tum tiger ho ya tota ? “

(Sahil Confused and with extreme innocence replies )

Sahil : “Main to samajhta tha ke main insaan hoon !! “

-I love those newly married couples. Especially when the newly wed “dulhan” gives that shy smile.

- The first year of married life is magical. Away from realities of marriage. It can change a person in and out.

- Not that life is bad after first year of marriage. But you just get used to real life post marriage. ;-)

- It is fun to bully the newly wed bride. :-) and it is much funnier to listen to her fun filled enthusiastic stories of new and changed life.

- Shucks ! I am making my married life sound boring when it is not :-)

- 99% newly wed bride said this to me “What I fear most is what if he changes tomorrow? ” I told them with a smile on my face “Don’t worry he won’t change !! :-)

- Most of the wonderful couples I have met they said their likes and dislikes differ a lot from their respective other half. Still they are extremely happy together for years after years.

- Most of single friends of mine get worried that how to marry a person who is so different from them?

- It gives immense pleasure to meet someone who has spent 20 plus years in the marriage and still in so much love with each other.

- The bond of marriage amazes me sometimes. It makes two unknown people to spend entire life together, even if life is not a cake walk. They travel together through worst scenarios with a great courage and heart.

- Edited to Add : People who make such an issue of “love marriage or arrange marriage”, ultimately all the couples go through same good old realities of married life. So it actually does not make life so very different as far as the couple is concerned.
